In November, 2016; the pastor was in his office; preparing; in prayer; for the morning worship service; when the LORD spoke to him and instructed him to charge the membership of Grace Baptist Church of Fayetteville, Georgia to begin a season of prayer at the altar of the church. This charge; by God; was to take place as follows; there would be someone at the altar of the church every day of the year of 2017. Their length of time; each day; in prayer at the altar would vary but their attendance to the altar would be consistent. The membership; including the pastor; was not to fail. As of this news notice; this season of prayer has been unbroken. We have been called by God to pray for America; our Pastors; our President; our Governors; our Mayors; our churches; our military; our police officers; our fellow saints; our families; our missionaries; our communities and our various and sundry needs. The Pastor has declared the theme for Grace Baptist Church for this year to be “HEAVEN SEEN IN 2017”. And the Scriptural charge is 2 Chronicles 7:14 which states; “14. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” We are trusting God for what He has instructed and are determined to follow His charge.
